Children's Run
Following a successful event last year, we are holding our 3rd Children's run at the Lower Leas Coastal Park in Folkestone on Sunday 21st September 2008. Children will be grouped according to age, to give everyone a chance and ensure little ones don't get trampled! We will be starting at 2:30pm and should be finished by 4pm at the latest. By popular demand we are running an additional 2km race for children aged 11-13, everyone else runs 1km. Adults are welcome to run with younger children. The races for the younger children will start first at 2:30pm and will finish with the older children's 2km race.
The course follows gravel paths in a figure of eight around the amphitheatre, where supporters can watch and cheer the start, middle and finish. The course will be marshalled to ensure no one gets lost and there will be one of the event organisers bringing up the rear to encourage and ensure everyone gets back safely. There will be a qualified first-aider on site.
We have kept the entry fee low, which will just cover costs but very much hope that all the children running will get individual sponsorship, even a small amount will make a difference to the children we are raising money for. There will be a fabulous prize for the child who raises the most sponsorship. Each child will receive a medal for taking part and the winning boy and girl in each race will receive an engraved trophy.
Please send your entry form and fee along with a stamped addressed envelope to Linda Warner (see entry form for full address) so that we can send out your race number in good time. If you are entering on the day please arrive by 2pm so that we can register you and give out your number.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you on what we hope will be a lovely sunny afternoon.
